The Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies conducted a two-day workshop titled “Power BI Essentials: Transforming Data into Actionable Insights” for MBA 2nd year students. Led by Mr. Yash Anwane, the workshop focused on equipping students with essential skills in Power BI, a leading business analytics tool.

Day 1 introduced students to Power BI’s core features, including connecting to various data sources, data transformation, and creating basic visualizations. Through practical exercises, participants learned how to clean, shape, and visualize data effectively.

Day 2 advanced into data modeling, using DAX for calculations, and building interactive dashboards. The session emphasized creating dynamic, real-time dashboards and sharing insights within an organization. Students also explored custom visuals and advanced charting techniques.

The workshop was interactive, with students actively participating in hands-on activities that solidified their understanding. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with students appreciating the practical knowledge and real-world applications shared by Mr. Yash Anwane. Mr. Pratik Kodmalwar, the event coordinator, ensured the smooth execution of the workshop, making it a valuable learning experience for all attendees.

“Trading War”
Paper Trading Competition organized by Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies under Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)

Introduction: The “Trading War” paper trading competition was conducted on April 12, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies. The event was organized by Mr. Pratik Kodmalwar and Dr. Nihar Dahake under the Finance Club and the Institute’s Innovation Council. The primary objective of the competition was to foster interest and understanding among students towards trading as a proven science.

Competition Format: The competition was designed as a paper trading event, where participants simulated real trading scenarios without actually investing real money. Each participant was provided with virtual currency to buy and sell stocks based on market conditions during the specified timeframe.
Participants: Students from both MBA 1st and 2nd year enthusiastically participated in the competition. Their diverse backgrounds and perspectives contributed to the dynamic nature of the event.

Competition Highlights: Throughout the duration of the competition, participants demonstrated their analytical skills, strategic thinking, and ability to make informed decisions in a simulated trading environment. The competition was intense, with participants closely monitoring market trends, analyzing company performance, and adjusting their trading strategies accordingly.

Winners: After careful evaluation of the participants’ trading performance, the following three students emerged as the winners of the “Trading War” paper trading competition:

Conclusion: The “Trading War” paper trading competition proved to be a resounding success, providing students with a platform to apply theoretical knowledge to practical trading scenarios. The event not only enhanced participants’ understanding of trading concepts but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie among students. Skill Development Workshop on “Turning Photography passion into an Entrepreneurial Opportunity”

A skill development Workshop on “Turning Photography passion into an Entrepreneurial Opportunity ” was successfully organised by Entrepreneurship Development Cell of DMIMS (Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies, Nagpur) on 29th November 2023.

During this workshop, Brazilian professional photographer Ms. Alessanddra Nirrwaan as a resource person shared valuable insights about career in photography as an Entrepreneurship with special focus on pros & cons, challenging aspects of this profession and how one’s love for lenses can be turned into meney affair.

The workshop was well coordinated and hosted by Dr. Vijay Uprikar and Dr. Nihar Dahake as faculty co-ordinators under the guidance of Director Dr. Vaishali Rahate.
Guest Lecture on Ethical Dilemmas of the Financial World

IIPC (Industry Institute Partnership Cell), DMIMS, Nagpur organized a Guest lecture on “Ethical Dilemmas of the Financial World” for students on 04/10/2023 to give them a clarity on how the financial world poses variety of ethical dilemmas while working in a financial sector and how one can deals with the dilemma by analyzing the situation from all different contexts. As future prospective investors students should be able to identify the financial irregularities and unethical financial practices that are going on in a company and that’s what the very purpose of this lecture was.

CA. Ganesh Kharode, Financial Consultant, Meghe Group was the resource person and he took the students through various financial scams and demonstrated how theses financial scams would have been avoided. He also explained how the financial professionals manipulate stats for tax avoidance so that the students can get the glimpse of financial malpractices that are on the verge of a great increase.

All in all, it was an informative and eye opening session that armed the students with much needed insights
GREEN CLUB Swach Bharat Abhiyaan

In a remarkable display of civic responsibility, the Green Club of Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies undertook a commendable Swach Bharat Abhiyan at the iconic Dikshabhumi in Nagpur. The event, held on 01 October at saw enthusiastic participation from Green Club members, who worked diligently to clean and beautify the surroundings of Dikshabhumi.
STOCK MANIA

IIPC (Industry Institute Partnership Cell), DMIMS, Nagpur organized a lecture “Stock Mania” for students to elaborate & demonstrate live trading on 13th September 2023 to encourage the students to learn and do active trading and investment. Mr. Pratik Kodmalwar Institute’s In-house faculty enlightened the students with what trading is and how it is different from investment. He has also demonstrated the process of trading through UPSTOX’s trading platform.
Mr. Pratik Kodmalwar elaborated the technical terms like Derivative, Hedging, Short Selling etc. in the simplest way possible. All in all, the session was a stepping stone which the students can capitalize to start their investing journey.

ISTD (Indian Society For Training And Development, Nagpur) collaborated with DMIMS (Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies) to organize an event on 9th Sep 2023, to enlighten and motivate students with the help of a renowned and dynamic motivational speaker, Dr. Atul Shah, Head-GITS, INDIA and RVP {WEST}, ISTD. Dr. Shah and his team illustrated management principles using a clip from the movie “Munna bhai MBBS”, which was an innovative and impactful way of engaging the students. The event was also graced by other esteemed office bearers of ISTD Nagpur.

This workshop discussed Decision trees, sensitivity analysis, conditional probability and risk analysis. Road Safety and Youth

On the occasion of Swami Vivekanand’s birth anniversary and to celebrate 34th Road Safety Week, Lions Club of Datta Meghe Institute of Management and Research organized best workshop in mba college nagpur this workshop on awareness about the importance of road safety which is needed to educate today’s youth. The workshop was headed by Shri Atul Agarkar, Nagpur Shahar Traffic Awareness Event Head alongwith police head constable Shri Rajkumar Kodape and Shri Shantaram Thombare.
Shri Atul Agarkar guided students about various traffic rules and also the legal aspect related to it. Participants asked many questions and doubts based on road safety. Skit based on road accidents and the impact on young generations were performed by the students on this instance. The motive of workshop to provide valuable learning on ‘Youth Day’ was a grand success.
The Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies hopes that such initiatives will help to empower the youth and make the community a better place for everyone. The activity was carried out under the guidance of Director of Institute Dr. Shiney Chib and Teacher In charge Suchitra Labhane.

Intra – college Cricket Tournament at DMIMS

An intra-college cricket tournament was organized by Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies (DMIMS), at Atrey Layout Ground, Nagpur on 4th and 5th March 2022. This tournament was organized by the Students’ Welfare Cell of the Institute. All the students participated wholeheartedly in this tournament. Expressing her ecstasy on this occasion, Director of the institute Dr. Shiney Chib mentioned that such sporting activities encourage team work and build leadership qualities among the students, which are extremely essential for developing managerial quintessence. Visit to Old Age Home

Rotaract club of Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies visited to old age home named Jeevan Suraksha Geriatric Hospital & Palliative Care Center, Ramdaspeth on 19th February 2022 to spent time and spread smile with the elders. Students also distributed 60 kg of flour to the old age home, each student contributed 2 Kg of flour themselves with the feeling of help and responsibility towards society. By keeping in mind the protocol of Covid 19 students took all the care while meeting the elders. Visiting Doctor and attendant helped to understand the daily routine and care needed by the elders.
Panel Discussion on “Analysis of Union Budget-2022-2023” Organized by DMIMS

A panel discussion on “Analysis of Union Budget 2022-2023 was organized virtually by Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies (DMIMS) on 16th February 2022. Dr. Vinayak Deshpande, Vice-chancellor of Raisoni University, Amravati and Dr. C.A T.S. Rawal, MD T.S. Rawal & Co , were the panelists on this occasion. These experts threw light and gave their expert opinion on the finer nuances of fiscal policy and public finance. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Vinayak Deshpande mentioned that in the face of this global economic turmoil when the India’s GDP is still in shambles, it would have been better if the union finance minister could have allocated some more amount especially in agricultural and allied activities as well as in MANREGA. Still he upheld the budget by giving 6.5 marks out of 10, by saying that inspite of this adverse situation the finance minister has tried her level best to balance the annual financial statement for the year 2022-2023. Dr. Rawal spoke about the various aspects of the budget including the concept of capital expenditure and employment generation. At the same time he also pointed out the pros and cons about government policy of disinvestment and selling the profit making public sector unit. Director of DMIMS, Dr. Shiney Chib expressed her happiness for conducting such fruitful event for the students. The students of the institute participated wholeheartedly in this panel discussion. Induction Program 2021

Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies (DMIMS), conducted an Induction programme on 27th December, 2021 for the newly joined students of 1st year. Transitioning from basic education to professional education is one of the most challenging events in a students’ life. The reason for induction program is to help students to adjust and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the culture of the institution and help them build pleasant relations with their new batchmates and the faculty members. The objective of the drive was to provide food and water to the birds in this scorching summer. The students of DMIMS kept food and water for the birds at their residence in balconies or terrace. The drive was initiated in month of May with a commitment to carry out the same in future.
One Line slogan writing competition

Dr. Subramaniam Seshan, was the Judge for the competition and awarded the cash prizes to the winners. First Prize awarded to Ms. Isha Chaware, Second Prize awarded to Ms. Sayali Karmore and Third Prize awarded to Ms. Sankita Khonde. LET’S DANCE BUDDY
DMIMS took a positive initiative by organizing it’s first ever virtual intercollegiate event ‘LET’S DANCE BUDDY’ to rev up and cheer up the students in this ongoing pandemic. The event was made successful by the active participation of more then 30 colleges with more than 60 participants. Sahil Raut and Rupal Dambhare bagged the first position.While 1st runner up were Rohini Raikwar and Vaibhav Sathone. The 2nd runner up were Ankita Dhopte and Damini Khandale. All the winners were felicitated with cash prize of rupees 2000, 1500 and 1000 respectively. The event was led forward under the subtle guidance of the faculty incharge Dr. Hetal Gaglani followed with her team of co-ordinators Vaishnavi Bante, Nilay Meshram, Sneha Lokhande, Reeya Wasnik and Diksha Lolekar working on Technical, Digital and Marketing forums for the event. DMIMS promises to bring more such events to lift up your spirits and to bring positivity.

Dmims Students Rotract Club Feed Stray Animals

Rotaract Club of Datta Meghe Institute of Management studies had organized Feed stray animals drive. The DMIMS students took an initiative to feed stray animals during this pandemic to feed stray animals. Stray animals generally survive on leftovers from restaurants, dabbas, road side eating food corners etc. and are now starving as their regular sources of food are now shut down due to the lockdown. Club members undertook the task of feeding stray cattle and dogs facing starvation. As the saying goes, “Charity begins at home”, so we performed this activity near our homes keeping in mind lockdown rules and regulations.

Rotaract Club of Datta Meghe Institute of Management studies took to the distribution of paper bags in a bid to support Maharashtra government’s plastic ban. The event which took place recently on 20th February 2021, the students of SMIMS came out on the streets to distribute paper bags to the nearby vendors. The students organised an awareness drive along with a ‘Paper Bag distribution’. They created awareness about leading a ‘plastic free life’. The motto at the event was ‘If you cannot reuse it, refuse it’. Around 1000 paper pags were distributed under this campaign.

BREAK THE TABOO

Event Break the taboo was organized by DMIMS Rotract club on 1st September 2020.You have two hands, one to help yourself, the second to help others, your small action can make a big difference. The event was named “Break the taboo” just because we had to fill this gap and stopped being ashamed of talking about *Periods*. Coronavirus sparked period poverty crises in India, with school girls who usually depend on government supplies. Women in slum are using cloth during menstrual phase because of this pandemic. How badly it affects their health. Due to which it sparked us to promote sanitary pads and provide it in slum areas and needy. DMIMS students Rotract club DMIMS distributed sanitary napkins in two phase one in which we have distributed to girls and women in an Anganwadi near Powergrid, Jaripatka and second our members have distributed near their homes. Around 110 packets of sanitary napkins were distributed. The activity was conducted taking all necessary precautions of covid-19

The speaker Mr.Chirag Joshi (Branch Manager, ShareKhan Pvt Ltd) who happens to be an alumus also walked the students through:

– visualising their dreams
– emphasizing the concept of Time value of money
– the difference between savings & investment
– different life cycle stages of investing
– various asset class for investing
– importance of patience, discipline, determination and much more

It was indeed a splendid & thought provoking session which was visible from the feedback received.

One Promise to Nature

Rotaract club of DMIMS has hosted a event “One Promise to Nature”. The event aimed to join hands together and promised nature to take care of our environment like we take care of our siblings. Thus on the eve of rakshabandhan the students of DMIMS tied rakhi to trees and plants at their homes and promised to protect them for lifetime. Making connections with the natural world is what we can do in return for all the love they give us. Accordingly taking time to appreciate and care for the nature around us is very important, it is essential to play our part in ensuring nature will always be there to welcome us back. The activity carried out by the Rotaract club President Pratik Raut, Director Sohail Sheikh, Director Divya Dewani, Director Ankit Bamborde along with other Club Members who took efforts to make this event successful.

Kargil Vijay Diwas which is celebrated on 26th July every year in honour of the Kargil War’s Heroes. This day is celebrated in the Kargil-Dras sector and the national capital New Delhi, where the Prime Minister of India pays homage to the soldiers at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate every year. On the occasion of this day Rotaract club of DMIMS had hosted Vijay Gaatha event in collaboration with Rotary Allahabad Midtown, Rotaract Club of United and with other Co-host Clubs. There were more than 500 people who attended this event on digital platform.
The Chief Guest of the event were Major General Gagan Deep Bakshi SM, VSM or G.D. Bakshi (born 1950) is a retired Indian army officer. He was from Jammu and Kashmir Rifles. He was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal for commanding a battalion in the Kargil War. G.D.Bakshi addressed the participants regarding the actual scenario of war and current situation of borders. He also told what problems he faced when he was selected for army. His mother was not happy with this because G.D.Bakshi’s elder brother martyr himself for the country and that was such a very difficult time for their family. He then also told us how they won Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 and Kargil War.

PAWS FOR THE CAUSE

“Paws for the cause.” Life Alert!! Help!! Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way it treats it’s animals.” Rotaract club of Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies in collaboration with Rotaract club of Bombay Film City took an initiative to feed stray animals during this pandemic on 15th July 2020. Stray animals generally survive on leftovers from restaurants, dhabas, road side eating food corners etc. and are now starving as their regular sources of food are now shut down due to nationwide lockdown. Club members undertook the task of feeding stray cattle and dogs facing starvation. As the saying goes, “Charity begins at home”, so we performed this activity near our homes keeping in mind lockdown rules and regulations. The activity was carried out under the guidance of Director Of Institute Dr. ShineyChib and Teacher In charge Dr. Rucha Lohi and Seven members of the club had participated in this event named Pratik Raut, Kanchan Lade, DivyaKatiyar, Lokesh Kakde, Aishwarya Kale, Nandini Ramkelkar, Anamika Panwar.
Webinar Series – “THINK BEYOND”

Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies had organized a free Webinar series ‘THINK BEYOND’ for the graduation students to give them insights of future career avenues. The webinar was attended by 60 participants. The Webinar series was conducted from 15th June 2020 to 20th June 2020 with interest modules like Choosing a Right Career Path after Graduation, The Life-Changing Magic of Positive Thinking, Personality Development- Need of the Hour, From Failure to Success, Career Avenues In Emerging Fields: Logistics & Business Analytics and Guide to Personal Success. The modules were delivered by eminent trainers like Vidhi Sarkar–Personality & life coach from Singapore , Anita Rao- Joint Secretary VIA, Priya Joshi- HR Head MRR Soft. The participants of the webinar series were issued E-certificates.
Women’s Day Celebration

On the occasion of International Women’s Day Rotaract club of Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies has distributed a refreshment boxes as token of gratitude & love to a women sweepers of Nagpur Municipal Corporation. As it is rightly said that “Clean home is like a happy home, as clean street is like a happy city.” The sweepers play a significant role in maintaining the health and hygiene within city and they are the first persons who start their day to clean a streets so that we can take a breath in dust free environment. The activity was carried out in Chawni, Raj nagar, New colony, Old Katol naka Square, Githhi khadan, Friends Colony. The event was successfully coordinated by DMIMS Rotaract Club under the able guidance of Dr. Shiney Chib Director DMIMS and faculty Coordinator Dr. Rucha Lohi.
Skit competition

Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies had organized Skit competition in association with Lions Club on 7th March 2020 on Occasion of International Women’s Day. The Theme for the competition was social issues related to women. The Purpose of performing skit was to promote social awareness of what women are facing in society. The topics of skit were Women Empowerment and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and performed in auditorium of Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies. The Guest Judges for the competition were Ln. Nisha Balasaria- President, Lions Nagpur North and Ln. Nisha Balasaria- Zone Chairperson, Lions International. The Event was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Shiney Chib- Director DMIMS and the faculty coordinator for the event was Dr. Rucha Lohi. Ganpati festival goes green in DMIMS

Festivals build group cohesiveness. Festivals inform, educate, bring people together, break the monotony of routine and give us a chance to reenergize our body, mind and spirit. It is celebrated with much fervor and joy. It has been observed that there is a rise in water, air and noise pollution during the celebration of festivals. An increase in pollution level is alarming and demands corrective action. The DMIMS family taking up the role of torch bearers paved the way for an eco friendly way to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. The festivities commencing from the Ganpati ‘Sthapana’to Visarjan was a thought provoking one like banning the use of plaster of paris for the idol and immersion in lakes and ponds. The festivities started with the traditional arti by the Director, Dr.Shiney Chib accompanied by bhajans, melodiously performed by the children. The festival ended with lot of learning and the visarjan of our eco-friendly Lord Ganesha in the DMIMS premises.

8 Days Six Sigma Workshop at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies (DMIMS)

Six Sigma Workshop was organised at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies (DMIMS) for 08 days from 16th October till 23rd October 2019 for Operations and logistics specialisation students. Mr Sanjay Bhure, Founder and CEO of SB Management & Engineering Consulting was the subject expert of the workshop. Students found the workshop very insightful and the workshop helped students absorb the concept of six sigma through case based learning. Mr Ananta Pathak was the student coordinator of the workshop. The workshop successfully carried out under the able guidance and support of Dr Shiney Chib, Director DMIMS.

Tableau Workshop was organised at DMIMS for III sem semester students. Students actively participated in Data Analytics Workshop from 22.09.19 till 29.09.19. The motive behind this workshop was to make students learn and enhance their learning skills to learn how the data analysis is done with the help of excel and get the expertise in it. The workshop was highly appreciated by the students as it has been a great learning experience. Swacha Bharat Abhiayan Activity

Rotaract club of Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies did the Cleaning under the Campaign of “Swacha Bharat Abhiayan” on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th Birth Anniversary in the area of Bhole Petrol Pump. Mahatma Gandhi said “Sanitation is more important than independence”. He made cleanliness and sanitation an integral part of the Gandhian way of living. His dream was total sanitation for all. Cleanliness is most important for physical well-being and a healthy environment. Hence club decided this activity on this day for giving small tribute to Gandhiji but also a small step towards the clean India, because Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or Swachh Bharat Mission is a nation-wide campaign in India that aims to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India’s cities, towns, urban and rural areas for making the country Neat and tidy. Gandhi Within You

Rotaract club of Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies had organised “Gandhi Within You” an International event on the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The event was completely digital, so that everyone can easily participate in the event from anywhere around the globe.
The main motto of the event was promoting teaching of Mahatma i.e. Peace and Non Violence. Participants had to tell how Gandhi influenced their life and their society by means of Poster, Sketch, Painting, Essay, Video, Blog, Slogan, Quote etc. and they have to attach their work in  Google Form given to them All the participants will get certificate for the same. More than 50 people around the world participated in the event.

2“Tanha Pola” Festival

Rotaract club of DMIMS celebrated “Tanha Pola” Festival with children of Ajni area. Teacher In charge Dr. Rucha Lohi took special efforts to make the event successful under the guidance of Director of the Institute, Dr. Shiney Chib. Tanha Pola is a festival of children comes after a day of the “Pola” Festival. The festival is very important to the people of Maharashtra and they celebrate with great enthusiasm. The club made the decision to celebrate the Festival of “Tanha pola” among the children. The gifts containing school supplies were given to more than 180 children so that they will find it useful for their school purpose. The event was intended to celebrate on festival day to create a sense of help, belongingness and affection in the community. Stakeholders Meet at DMIMS

Stakeholder’s Meet was organised at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies (DMIMS) held on 03/05/19. Representative from Academia , Industry, Alumni , Students and their parents participated and provided inputs for growth and development of the institute .The meeting was a step to collect the feedback from the stake holders about the various activities conducted at DMIMS and also to take the suggestion from them, for the future activities. Footpath Shaala – 2nd & 3rd April, 2019

The Members of Rotract Club of Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies visited and volunteered in Santra Market Centre of UPAY on 2nd & 3rd April, 2019 for teaching in Footpath Shaala- a project by Under Privileged Advancement By Youth (UPAY). UPAY is a Non-Governmental Organisation which works towards providing quality education to underprivileged children in India. Footpath Shaala is an initiative for the kids living on the footpath and doing some unskilled labor or literally begging for their bread & butter.

This activity was successfully conducted by the student coordinators Parag Hadke, Vishwas Vaidya and Aditi Khanorkar performed the activity with the help of other members Pranay Manekar, Ayush Bhoyar and Amit Wanjari at the NGO. The volunteers of Footpath Shala Mr.Ganesh Birajdar and Mr.Vishal Timande who supported to make the ASR activity successful.

  The underprivileged children present there were between the age group of 5 years to 13years. Various activities were conducted for the children at the centre. Starting with interactive session with the children and teaching them some basics meditation techniques, telling them about hygiene and good habits, encouraging them to study more, then a singing and dance sessions held as well. A session of basic mathematics, word problems was taken to teach them how to apply Addition and Subtraction in real life scenario.
Panel Discussion on ‘Exploring Career Paths in MBA’ at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies Held
DMIMS organized a panel discussion on 13th March 2019 for the MBA students as a part of summer internship on the theme ‘Exploring Career Paths in MBA’. Panel consisted of industrial experts – Mr.Chirag Joshi, Branch Manager – Sharekhan, Mr. Chaitanya Kale, Manager HR – Dinshaw, Mr.Govind Chandak – Business Head – NSDM, Dr. Shiney Chib – Director, DMIMS. The interactive session involved the talks on the skill set one should possess to excel in their career graph and the path the students should adopt in that direction. The Panel emphasized on the Do’s and Don’ts, one should consider while selecting their electives. The session was very fruitful for the students.
Tea Talks
NIPM students chapter of Datta Meghe Institute of Management studies have organised “Tea Talks” an expert discussion on topic ” Entrepreneurs – Business Startup”. The recourse person for this event was Mr. Baldev Singh Ravat founder of Founder – Think Value Kreation Pvt. Ltd., Founder – Resume It Up and co-founder of Bows By Rucha. The program was an open fourm where the speaker Mr. Rawat gave insights on ideas of Entrepreneurship along with some successful stories. The program was followed by a question-answer session and vote of thanks by the president of the forum. Rupali Wasnik President of the Forum, along with the office bearers Ankit Bhagwat, Abhilash Gomkar & Aishwarya Thakare made the event successful.
International Women’s Day Celebration at DMIMS

On 8th March 2019, the International Women’s Day was celebrated with all enthusiasm and happiness at DMIMS, there were fun games arranged for all the women including the students teaching and non-teaching staff by the student coordinator’s. Director DMIMS Dr. Shiney chib, dean academics Dr. Vaishali Rahate along with other faculty members and students participated in all the games. Winners of all the games were felicitated with surprise gifts. At the end of the day the event was executed extremely well, and also encouraged women to come out of the shell and their comfort zone, promoting the feeling of togetherness and sisterhood.

Expert Talk by Umesh Jadhav

Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies in association with NIPM, Nagpur Chapter had organized Expert Talk on “Emerging Trends in Human Resources” on 22nd February, 2019. The Guest Speaker for the talk was Mr. Umesh Jadhav- Director- Human Recourses, Calderys & Imerys India, Nagpur . Dr. Shiney Chib- Director DMIMS, Mr. Aanand Toal- Treasurer National Committee, NIPM, Ms. Shobha Bhagia, Ms. Sonali Pathak along with the DMIMS students were present at the event.

The program was started by giving condolence to the martyrs of Pulawama Attack. The speaker Mr. Umesh Jadhav gave insight on Emerging Trends of Human Resource. He discussed topic about team work and artificial intelligence which was very informative for the students. The Talk ended with active discussion and question & answer session with the students. The program was very useful for students as they are entering into the corporate sector in coming days. The program was ended up by giving vote of thanks by Rupali Wasnik President NIPM Students Chapter of DMIMS.

A REPORT ON FREE MEDICAL CHECK-UP CAMP
A free medical health checkup camp for faculty, non-teaching staff and students was organized on 23 rd February 2019 at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies in association with Rotaract club. Camp was organized in association with Nelson Mother & Child Care Hospital. The 10 team members of Hospital including one Physician, one Dentist were in the campus. Dr. Shiney Chib Director DMIMS welcomed Dr. Kharabe. Free Physical examination along with free blood sugar, Blood pressure and other checkups were provided by the Hospital. Approximate 200 people including the faculty, non-teaching staff and students came for the Health Checkup. Doctors provided consultation during the camp. Camp was successfully organized under the guidance of DMIMS, Director Dr. Shiney Chib & the camp was coordinated by Rotaract board members.
Ganesh Utsav
Date : 13th to 15th of September,2018. The Ganesh Utsav was hosted by the Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies to promote the concept of SMART CITY in NAGPUR and to highlight the structure of FUTURE NAGPUR. A theme based presentation of the same was displayed in the Layout and the decoration was done by the students. Maha-prasad was held on 15th of September 2018, followed by Ganesh Visarjan. The students and members of the staff participated in the event with great enthusiasm and zeal and made it a successful event.
Janmashtami Celebration (Dahi Handi)

Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great vigour and excitement at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies on September 14, 2018. Breaking of the ‘Handi’ was marked by the celebrations. Students as well as faculty members participated in the event with great enthusiasm. The participants were treated with lots of entertainment. Separate groups of Boys and Girls attempted to break the Handi with DJ being played in the background. The students tried their luck at the ‘Dahi Handi’. The groups which were successful in breaking the ‘Dahi Handi’ were rewarded with prizes.

DMIMS bid formal adieu to the outgoing batch of 2016-18 with great enthusiasm. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and faculties to reminisce joyous moments. The programme commenced with the welcome address by the Director, Dr.Shiney Chib who appreciated their efforts for enthusiastically participating in varied competitions and raising the bar of perfection. She wished them luck to make a mark in the world outside, carrying forth the DMIMS motto of ‘We Believe In Success’. This was followed by the distribution of certificates to the toppers and winners. The students delivered speeches expressing gratitude to their mentors and faculties for their invaluable contribution in making the journey a memorable one
Cutural Programme-Zero Gravity Dance Competition

D1 Dance Group Bagged First position at DMIMS “Zero Gravity Dance Competition – 18. Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies, Nagpur organised “Zero-Gravity Dance Competition – 18” on 3rdMarch, 2018 at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, Nagpur. True to their word of bringing a celebrity! DMIMS invited Dance India Dance fame Siddesh Pai and Zee TV Process Manager Naeem Akhtar. Also renowned Choreographers of Nagpur Dhiraj Mishra and Dinesh hadke (D&D Choreographers) to judge the competition. The event commenced with a flash Mob performed by the DMIMS students. The judges were felicitated with the floral bouquets at the hands of Dr. Shiney Chib and Dr. S.D Bhole. The audience mesmerized and were restless when Siddesh Pai entered the auditorium to grace the event. Witnessing continuous moments of enthusiasm and vigour during the whole programme among the audiences was the amazing moment.

Dancers from all over the City participated in the competition. Born Dancers group, Hislop College, Dance it out group, Tulsiram Gaikwad Patil College Group, Spartans Studio Group, D-Star Group, D1, D2, Alchemi Group etc were the dancers groups participated in the competition. Some hip-hop, bollywood, freestyle forms etc were performed by these groups where the audience enjoyed with full fun. Nagpur’s little Dancer Vidhi Palewal presented a special performance on “Usne dekha maine dekha pyar hogaya…” (Hindi bollywood) song during the event who won everyone’s heart with her cute expressions. “Amhi Mahrashtian aahe Aamhi Marathi bolnar ! ” was the line when Siddesh interacted with the audience on stage and finally most awaited part of the programme was his performance when he started dancing on the moves of his favourite dancer “Govinda – Chichi Bhayya’s songs like “Kisi Disco me jaye..” Prem chaal me phas gayi tut toh”..and so on with the event host Corena Pereira and MJ Denny and all the dancers and his fans joined him on the stage and enjoyed the event. D1 Group bagged first prize while Alchemi group was the runnerup. Fabklub Nagpur was the promotional and social media partner for this event. Dr. Shekhar Bhole, MGI – CEO, Dr. Shiney Chib, Director, DMIMS and all the teaching and non-teaching staff were present during the programme.DMIMS Faculty staff Dr. Vinod Waiker, Dr. Rucha Lohi, Dr. Pallavi and the students of MBA Final year Sagar, Rohini Shendre, Anjusha, Neeraj took alot of efforts and worked hard for the success of the event.
