The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies (DMIMS), Nagpur, marked the occasion of ‘National Entrepreneurship Day’ on November 9, 2024, by hosting a captivating session with Mr. Chahul Balpande, the dynamic Co-founder of ‘Pohewala’ and a seasoned startup entrepreneur.

Mr. Chahul’s insightful session offered a fascinating glimpse into the world of entrepreneurship, inspiring DMIMS students to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations. His passion and dedication ignited the entrepreneurial spirit within the budding entrepreneurs.

The interactive Q&A session further enriched the learning experience, allowing students to gain valuable insights directly from Mr.  Chahul Balpande.

Healthcare and Medical Technology Workshop at DMIMS

DattaMeghe Institute of Management Studies (DMIMS) recently hosted a two-day workshop titled “Healthcare and Medical Technology for Individuals Concerned about Their Health”. The event took place on June 10th and 11th, 2024, at the DMIMS campus in Nagpur. DMIMS BAZAAR HAAT GENERATED HUGE BUZZ IN THE CITY
25th & 26th February 2023
Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies, Nagpur, as part of its Marketing Club Activity organised “Bazaar Haat”, Dekho…Becho…Sikho between February 25-26,2023. Bazaar Haat is an annual event for the budding managers of Direct selling of products to customers on street.
More than 100 MBA students took active part in the event by selling bag full of house hold products at different areas of the city viz., Pratap Nagar,  Khamla, Laxmi Nagar,  Aath Rasta Square, Ajni, Diksha Bhoomi, Wardha Road and Mate Square.
For aspiring managers, the exercise offered endless enjoyment and fun. They developed their inter-personal skills and learned the different strategies to be implemented on field to attract customers. Overwhelming response of the customers was registered.
Participants were offered certificate and cash prizes worth Rs. 2500 distributed among the students on volume-based and time bound selling. Consolation Prizes were given to the outstanding achievers. Director and Dean – Dr. Shiney Chib, congratulated the winners and participants. Dr. Shailesh Badre and Ms. Amruta Mahalle were the Event Coordinators.

Two Days online Workshop on “Developing effective Case Study” was successfully organised by DMIMS (Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies, Nagpur) on 23rd & 24th January 2023.
< During this workshop, renowned resource person Prof. Dr. Ranjit Singh Sir (IIIT, Allahabad) shared valuable insights on preparing case study effectively and its presentation in classroom with special focus on prerequisites for discussing the case with conceptual and contextual clarity with the students. The workshop was attended by faculty, research scholars and students from various institutes of different states. Leadership Development Program at WCL (Western Coalfields Limited)
6th Dec. – 11th Dec. 2021
DMIMS has conducted 1 week Leadership Development Program for the senior employees of WCL from 6th Dec. – 11th Dec. 2021. It included 24 modules, with topics dealing in critical thinking, team cohesiveness, Leadership Skills, emotional intelligence, professional demeanour etc. All the faculty members of DMIMS were involved in delivering the various sessions, in this 6 days power packed Training Capsule.
ATAL-FDP on ‘Finance for Non Finance’
DMIMS successfully concluded five-days long Faculty Development (FDP) program on ‘Finance for Non Finance’. The FDP is a part of a massive country-wide rollout of training and learning opportunities sponsored by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) through its Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy. The FDP received great response with around 200 participants from PAN India. The inaugural was graced by Director, DMIMS Dr.Shiney Chib. She said the theme of FDP is interesting as the topic is relevant in every sphere irrespective of the domain one belongs to. Dr.Hetal Gaglani was the coordinator for the said FDP. Her exceptional co-ordination with all the participants was appreciated. The resource persons for the sessions were exceptionally experienced faculty members and industry people from reputed organisations of India. Participants opine that learning experience from the ATAL FDP was excellent.

Participants from PAN India, renowned corporate and also from some premier institutes had registered for this faculty development program. This FDP was fully sponsored by AICTE under its AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy. Seat capacity as per AICTE norms is 200 participants, and the progam had full registration. Dr. Shiney Chib Director DMIMS was the the Program coordinator. Galaxy of expert speakers includes Dr.Anita Rao, Joint Secretary VIA. She walked the audience through ‘Entrepreneurial Ecosystem’. Next expert include Dr.Sandip Khedkar, Head Innovation & Incubation Cell,YCCE. He guided the students about innovation and incubation center of Meghe Group of Institution and how aspiring entrepreneur can benefit by being a part of this cell. Lastly session was taken up by Dr.Smrti Verma, AGM at Innovinc Services. She gave insights on ‘Nitty – Gritty of Business Plan’ which is the most important component of starting on entrepreneurial journey. Webinar on Orientation on MGI Incubation Center

DMIMS organised a webinar on ‘Orietation to MGI Incubation Cente’ on 22nd May 2021 to give insights to all the inhouse faculties about how an incubation center be established at DMIMS. The session was effectively delivered by Dr.Sandip Khedkar, Head of Innovation & Incubation at YCCE. During this webinar he walked the participants through various funding agencies established by Govt of India providing funds for setting up an incubation center in education institution. He also threw a light on how we can leverage synergy with a combination of right students & faculties. The session was quite splendid & helpful as it clarified myths with respect to incubation centre.

Datta Meghe Institute of Management studies had organized a national level Seminar on Outcome Based Education on 6th November 2020. AICTE- Sponsored STTP on Research Methodology and Data Analysis
Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies (DMIMS) conducted an AICTE- sponsored six day short term training programme on ‘Research Methodology and Data Analysis’ from 15th July 2019-20th July 2019. Coordinator of the programme was Dr Shiney Chib, Director DMIMS. The sessions included hands on training on data analysis packages like Tableu, SPSS and R. The resource persons for the workshop were Mangala Hirwade, Amresh Kumar, Saket Jeswani and Sauarbh Agrawal. The programme was co-sponsored by IBM SPSS Banagluru. Case Development Workshop, 2019
Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies in association with National Institute of Personnel Management organised Case Development Workshop, 2019. It was a 3 day workshop and the resource person for the workshop was Dr. Alok Bansal, Professor in Prestige Institute of Management & Research, Indore. In the workshop Mr Bansal gave insights of developing case studies. The participants were divided into groups and sent to various industries for collecting information to build cases on first day. On the second day the groups deliberated on the case developed with Dr. Bansal and on the third day they presented the final case developed. The workshop was successful due to the able guidance of Dr. Shiney Chib Director DMIMS.

NBA Orientation Workshop Held at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies on 11th Jan. 2018. Outcome based education is the Mantra for Quality Education. The workshop was inaugurated at the hands of Dr.Shekar Bhole, Hon’ble CEO MGI, Dr. S.C. Sahasrabuddhe, Member Academic Advisory Committee, NBA, New Delhi, Dr.Shiney Chib, Director, DMIMS. Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies in association with National Institute of Personnel Management organised Case Development Workshop, 2019. It was a 3 day workshop and the resource person for the workshop was Dr. Alok Bansal, Professor in Prestige Institute of Management & Research, Indore. In the workshop Mr Bansal gave insights of developing case studies. The participants were divided into groups and sent to various industries for collecting information to build cases on first day. 5 days ATAL-FDP on ‘Finance for Non Finance’ concludes at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies, Nagpur
DMIMS successfully concluded five-days long Faculty Development (FDP) program on ‘Finance for Non Finance’. The FDP is a part of a massive country-wide rollout of training and learning opportunities sponsored by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) through its Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy. The FDP received great response with around 200 participants from PAN India. The inaugural was graced by Director, DMIMS Dr.Shiney Chib. She said the theme of FDP is interesting as the topic is relevant in every sphere irrespective of the domain one belongs to. Dr.Hetal Gaglani was the coordinator for the said FDP. Her exceptional co-ordination with all the participants was appreciated. 5 days ATAL-FDP on ‘Finance for Non Finance’ concludes at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies, Nagpur
DMIMS successfully concluded five-days long Faculty Development (FDP) program on ‘Finance for Non Finance’. The FDP is a part of a massive country-wide rollout of training and learning opportunities sponsored by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) through its Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy. The FDP received great response with around 200 participants from PAN India. The inaugural was graced by Director, DMIMS Dr.Shiney Chib. She said the theme of FDP is interesting as the topic is relevant in every sphere irrespective of the domain one belongs to. Dr.Hetal Gaglani was the coordinator for the said FDP. Her exceptional co-ordination with all the participants was appreciated. The resource persons for the sessions were exceptionally experienced faculty members and industry people from reputed organisations of India. Participants opine that learning experience from the ATAL FDP was excellent.

Participants from PAN India, renowned corporate and also from some premier institutes had registered for this faculty development program. This FDP was fully sponsored by AICTE under its AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy. Seat capacity as per AICTE norms is 200 participants, and the progam had full registration. She gave insights on ‘Nitty – Gritty of Business Plan’ which is the most important component of starting on entrepreneurial journey. DMIMS organised a webinar on ‘Orietation to MGI Incubation Cente’ on 22nd May 2021 to give insights to all the inhouse faculties about how an incubation center be established at DMIMS. During this webinar he walked the participants through various funding agencies established by Govt of India providing funds for setting up an incubation center in education institution. Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies (DMIMS) conducted an AICTE- sponsored six day short term training programme on ‘Research Methodology and Data Analysis’ from 15th July 2019-20th July 2019. Case Development Workshop, 2019
Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies in association with National Institute of Personnel Management organised Case Development Workshop, 2019. It was a 3 day workshop and the resource person for the workshop was Dr. Alok Bansal, Professor in Prestige Institute of Management & Research, Indore. In the workshop Mr Bansal gave insights of developing case studies. The participants were divided into groups and sent to various industries for collecting information to build cases on first day. On the second day the groups deliberated on the case developed with Dr. Bansal and on the third day they presented the final case developed. The workshop was successful due to the able guidance of Dr. Shiney Chib Director DMIMS.

NBA Orientation Workshop Held at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies on 11th Jan. 2018. Outcome based education is the Mantra for Quality Education. The workshop was inaugurated at the hands of Dr.Shekar Bhole, Hon’ble CEO MGI, Dr. S.C. Sahasrabuddhe, Member Academic Advisory Committee, NBA, New Delhi, Dr.Shiney Chib, Director, DMIMS.
