ED Cell of DMIMS organised Unique Intercollegiate ‘Value Creation Challenge’

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) of DMIMS successfully organized BIZ-NOVATION MOSAIC 2026 (Value Creation Challenge) on 17th March 2026 at the DMIMS Auditorium, Nagpur, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Forum of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA).
The intercollegiate event stood out for its innovative format, where students moved beyond conventional startup pitching and engaged in analyzing existing business models without help of any AI tools and mobile phones. Participants identified key pain points and proposed practical, value-driven solutions through structured poster presentations.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from multiple colleges, with students demonstrating strong analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. The performances were evaluated by an eminent panel of industry experts from VIA- Dr. Anita Rao (Chairperson- Entrepreneurship Forum of Vidarbha Industries Association) and Mr. Dipak Singh (Start-up Founder- Orange N Orange), ensuring fair assessment and valuable insights for participants.
The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vaishali Rahate (Director) and coordinated by Dr. Vijay Uprikar (Head -ED Cell) along with Mr. Imran Khan and ED Cell team.
Author’s Talk Session

Author’s Talk at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies
The Library of Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies organised an Author’s Talk for MBA students, aimed at promoting research-oriented learning and intellectual engagement beyond the classroom.
The session featured talks on “Facets of Management” by Dr. Subramaniam Iyer and “Mahatma Jotirao Phule: An Agripreneur and Philanthropist” by Dr. Vijay Uprikar. The authors shared insights from their books and interacted with students, offering perspectives that connected wellness, social reform, entrepreneurship, and leadership in a contemporary management context. The session witnessed active participation from MBA students and enriched academic discourse.
The organisers expressed sincere gratitude to Dr. Vaishali Rahate, Director, Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies, for her guidance and support in making the event successful.

DMIMS Champions League 2025
DATE – 22 and 27–29 November 2025
The DMIMS Champions League 2025 was successfully organized by the Sports Committee, DMIMS, at the DMIMS Campus from 22 and 27–29 November 2025, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The event benefitted around 450 participants from various faculties. Conducted in two phases, Phase I on 22 November featured BGMI E-Gaming, drawing enthusiastic participation from gaming enthusiasts. Phase II, held from 27 to 29 November, included Cricket, Badminton, and Volleyball, promoting physical fitness and teamwork.
Children’s Day Celebration by Rotaract Club

The DMIMS Rotaract Club successfully celebrated Children’s Day on 14th November 2025 at Navin Desai Orphanage, Majri, Nagpur, commencing at 11:30 AM. The event was organized to honor the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and to celebrate the joy and spirit of childhood. Rotaract members coordinated logistics, fundraising, cultural activities, and orphanage liaison to ensure smooth execution. The program included engaging games, cultural performances, and refreshments, creating a joyful atmosphere for the children. The celebration brought smiles, warmth, and meaningful interaction, reinforcing the importance of care, happiness, and a nurturing environment for every child.
Lakshya 4.0 – Mock Recruitment Drive

Real learning is gained through practical exposure and shared knowledge. With this objective, the Training and Placement Cell at the DMIMS campus successfully organized “Lakshya 4.0”, a Mock Campus Recruitment Drive, to provide first-year MBA students with a glimpse of the professional world. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from a total of 196 students, who actively engaged in various stages of the recruitment process. The drive offered valuable hands-on experience, enhancing students’ confidence, employability skills, and understanding of real-time corporate expectations. Congratulations to all the winners and participants for their excellent performance and commendable efforts throughout the process.
Village Immersion Program: A Community Connect Initiative

The Village Immersion Program was successfully conducted on 24th September 2025 at Sukali Village, organized by Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies, Nagpur (DMIMS). The outreach activity focused on spreading awareness about cleanliness and the prevention of mosquito-borne diseases through meaningful community engagement. Students organized rallies with slogans, performed humorous skits, and presented cultural programs to effectively convey health and hygiene messages. Active interaction with villagers reinforced the concept of cleanliness as a shared social responsibility. The villagers responded enthusiastically, appreciating the interactive and culturally relevant approach.
Teachers’ Day Celebration
DATE – 5th September 2025
The Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies (DMIMS) celebrated Teachers’ Day with the collaboration with the Rotaract Club of the college, in honour of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
The celebration featured a blend of cultural performances, fun-filled activities, and heartfelt tributes. A special highlight of the event was a coordinator’s creative act, where they dressed up as a faculty member and delivered a humorous performance, drawing applause and laughter from the audience.
From engaging games to interactive activities, students expressed their gratitude towards teachers, while also strengthening the bond between faculty and students.
Induction Program – Parichay 2025

The Induction Program Parichay 2025 for Semester I MBA students was successfully conducted on 29th and 30th August 2025 at the Auditorium, organized by DMIMS. The program aimed to warmly welcome the new batch and familiarize them with the institution’s academic culture and values. Various sessions introduced students to the MBA curriculum, faculty members, and campus facilities. Motivational talks and interactive activities helped students feel confident and connected. The program concluded on a positive note, marking the beginning of an enriching academic journey for the MBA aspirants.
Celebrating World Creativity & Innovation Day with QUIRKATHON

This celebration wasn’t about logic alone; it was about imagination, curiosity, and seeing the world through a different lens. By asking students to come up with unconventional product ideas—like a pen that converts thoughts into emails or shoes that charge phones—we celebrated the belief that innovation begins where convention ends. QUIRKATHON became a platform where business minds dared to be bizarre and bold—crafting pitches, taglines, and even mock ads to bring their eccentric ideas to life. The energy, laughter, and sheer originality witnessed during the event reinforced why creativity is one of the most essential skills of the future. Through this initiative, DMIMS reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing innovative thinkers and celebrating the powerful intersection of fun, imagination, and entrepreneurship.
Voice of Humanity

Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies (DMIMS), through its Rotaract Club, successfully organized the event “Voices of Humanity – Because Everyone Deserves Warmth” on December 9, 2024. The initiative aimed to spread care by distributing blankets, clothes, notebooks, and ration to the underprivileged across Nagpur.

Workshop Summary: Power BI Essentials: Transforming Data into Actionable Insights

The Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies conducted a two-day workshop titled “Power BI Essentials: Transforming Data into Actionable Insights” for MBA 2nd year students. Led by Mr. Yash Anwane, the workshop focused on equipping students with essential skills in Power BI, a leading business analytics tool.
Day 1 introduced students to Power BI’s core features, including connecting to various data sources, data transformation, and creating basic visualizations. Through practical exercises, participants learned how to clean, shape, and visualize data effectively.
Day 2 advanced into data modeling, using DAX for calculations, and building interactive dashboards. The session emphasized creating dynamic, real-time dashboards and sharing insights within an organization. Students also explored custom visuals and advanced charting techniques.
The workshop was interactive, with students actively participating in hands-on activities that solidified their understanding. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with students appreciating the practical knowledge and real-world applications shared by Mr. Yash Anwane. Mr. Pratik Kodmalwar, the event coordinator, ensured the smooth execution of the workshop, making it a valuable learning experience for all attendees.
Paper Trading Competition organized by Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies under Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)

Introduction: The “Trading War” paper trading competition was conducted on April 12, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies. The event was organized by Mr. Pratik Kodmalwar and Dr. Nihar Dahake under the Finance Club and the Institute’s Innovation Council. The primary objective of the competition was to foster interest and understanding among students towards trading as a proven science.
Competition Format: The competition was designed as a paper trading event, where participants simulated real trading scenarios without actually investing real money. Each participant was provided with virtual currency to buy and sell stocks based on market conditions during the specified timeframe.
Participants: Students from both MBA 1st and 2nd year enthusiastically participated in the competition. Their diverse backgrounds and perspectives contributed to the dynamic nature of the event.
Competition Highlights: Throughout the duration of the competition, participants demonstrated their analytical skills, strategic thinking, and ability to make informed decisions in a simulated trading environment. The competition was intense, with participants closely monitoring market trends, analyzing company performance, and adjusting their trading strategies accordingly.
Winners: After careful evaluation of the participants’ trading performance, the following three students emerged as the winners of the “Trading War” paper trading competition:

Conclusion: The “Trading War” paper trading competition proved to be a resounding success, providing students with a platform to apply theoretical knowledge to practical trading scenarios. The event not only enhanced participants’ understanding of trading concepts but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie among students. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners and appreciation to all participants for their enthusiastic participation.
During this workshop, Brazilian professional photographer Ms. Alessanddra Nirrwaan as a resource person shared valuable insights about career in photography as an Entrepreneurship with special focus on pros & cons, challenging aspects of this profession and how one’s love for lenses can be turned into meney affair.
The workshop was well coordinated and hosted by Dr. Vijay Uprikar and Dr. Nihar Dahake as faculty co-ordinators under the guidance of Director Dr. Vaishali Rahate.
CA. Ganesh Kharode, Financial Consultant, Meghe Group was the resource person and he took the students through various financial scams and demonstrated how theses financial scams would have been avoided. He also explained how the financial professionals manipulate stats for tax avoidance so that the students can get the glimpse of financial malpractices that are on the verge of a great increase.
All in all, it was an informative and eye opening session that armed the students with much needed insights
Mr. Pratik Kodmalwar elaborated the technical terms like Derivative, Hedging, Short Selling etc. in the simplest way possible. All in all, the session was a stepping stone which the students can capitalize to start their investing journey.

On the occasion of Swami Vivekanand’s birth anniversary and to celebrate 34th Road Safety Week, Lions Club of Datta Meghe Institute of Management and Research organized best workshop in mba college nagpur this workshop on awareness about the importance of road safety which is needed to educate today’s youth. The workshop was headed by Shri Atul Agarkar, Nagpur Shahar Traffic Awareness Event Head alongwith police head constable Shri Rajkumar Kodape and Shri Shantaram Thombare.
Shri Atul Agarkar guided students about various traffic rules and also the legal aspect related to it. Participants asked many questions and doubts based on road safety. Skit based on road accidents and the impact on young generations were performed by the students on this instance. The motive of workshop to provide valuable learning on ‘Youth Day’ was a grand success.
The Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies hopes that such initiatives will help to empower the youth and make the community a better place for everyone. The activity was carried out under the guidance of Director of Institute Dr. Shiney Chib and Teacher In charge Suchitra Labhane.

Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies organised a webinar on 28th August 2020 on the topic ‘Give Wings To Your Dreams’ for the second year MBA students under finance domain. The speaker Mr.Chirag Joshi (Branch Manager, ShareKhan Pvt Ltd) who happens to be an alumus also walked the students through:
– visualising their dreams
– emphasizing the concept of Time value of money
– the difference between savings & investment
– different life cycle stages of investing
– various asset class for investing
– importance of patience, discipline, determination and much more
It was indeed a splendid & thought provoking session which was visible from the feedback received.
The Chief Guest of the event were Major General Gagan Deep Bakshi SM, VSM or G.D. Bakshi (born 1950) is a retired Indian army officer. He was from Jammu and Kashmir Rifles. He was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal for commanding a battalion in the Kargil War. G.D.Bakshi addressed the participants regarding the actual scenario of war and current situation of borders. He also told what problems he faced when he was selected for army. His mother was not happy with this because G.D.Bakshi’s elder brother martyr himself for the country and that was such a very difficult time for their family. He then also told us how they won Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 and Kargil War.

Rotaract club of Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies had organised “Gandhi Within You” an International event on the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The event was completely digital, so that everyone can easily participate in the event from anywhere around the globe.
The main motto of the event was promoting teaching of Mahatma i.e. Peace and Non Violence. Participants had to tell how Gandhi influenced their life and their society by means of Poster, Sketch, Painting, Essay, Video, Blog, Slogan, Quote etc. and they have to attach their work in Google Form given to them All the participants will get certificate for the same. More than 50 people around the world participated in the event.

This activity was successfully conducted by the student coordinators Parag Hadke, Vishwas Vaidya and Aditi Khanorkar performed the activity with the help of other members Pranay Manekar, Ayush Bhoyar and Amit Wanjari at the NGO. The volunteers of Footpath Shala Mr.Ganesh Birajdar and Mr.Vishal Timande who supported to make the ASR activity successful.
The underprivileged children present there were between the age group of 5 years to 13years. Various activities were conducted for the children at the centre. Starting with interactive session with the children and teaching them some basics meditation techniques, telling them about hygiene and good habits, encouraging them to study more, then a singing and dance sessions held as well. A session of basic mathematics, word problems was taken to teach them how to apply Addition and Subtraction in real life scenario.
NIPM students chapter of Datta Meghe Institute of Management studies have organised “Tea Talks” an expert discussion on topic ” Entrepreneurs – Business Startup”. The recourse person for this event was Mr. Baldev Singh Ravat founder of Founder – Think Value Kreation Pvt. Ltd., Founder – Resume It Up and co-founder of Bows By Rucha. The program was an open fourm where the speaker Mr. Rawat gave insights on ideas of Entrepreneurship along with some successful stories. The program was followed by a question-answer session and vote of thanks by the president of the forum.
Rupali Wasnik President of the Forum, along with the office bearers Ankit Bhagwat, Abhilash Gomkar & Aishwarya Thakare made the event successful.
On 8th March 2019, the International Women’s Day was celebrated with all enthusiasm and happiness at DMIMS, there were fun games arranged for all the women including the students teaching and non-teaching staff by the student coordinator’s. Director DMIMS Dr. Shiney chib, dean academics Dr. Vaishali Rahate along with other faculty members and students participated in all the games. Winners of all the games were felicitated with surprise gifts. At the end of the day the event was executed extremely well, and also encouraged women to come out of the shell and their comfort zone, promoting the feeling of togetherness and sisterhood.
Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies in association with NIPM, Nagpur Chapter had organized Expert Talk on “Emerging Trends in Human Resources” on 22nd February, 2019. The Guest Speaker for the talk was Mr. Umesh Jadhav- Director- Human Recourses, Calderys & Imerys India, Nagpur . Dr. Shiney Chib- Director DMIMS, Mr. Aanand Toal- Treasurer National Committee, NIPM, Ms. Shobha Bhagia, Ms. Sonali Pathak along with the DMIMS students were present at the event.
The program was started by giving condolence to the martyrs of Pulawama Attack. The speaker Mr. Umesh Jadhav gave insight on Emerging Trends of Human Resource. He discussed topic about team work and artificial intelligence which was very informative for the students. The Talk ended with active discussion and question & answer session with the students. The program was very useful for students as they are entering into the corporate sector in coming days. The program was ended up by giving vote of thanks by Rupali Wasnik President NIPM Students Chapter of DMIMS.
Dancers from all over the City participated in the competition. Born Dancers group, Hislop College, Dance it out group, Tulsiram Gaikwad Patil College Group, Spartans Studio Group, D-Star Group, D1, D2, Alchemi Group etc were the dancers groups participated in the competition. Some hip-hop, bollywood, freestyle forms etc were performed by these groups where the audience enjoyed with full fun. Nagpur’s little Dancer Vidhi Palewal presented a special performance on “Usne dekha maine dekha pyar hogaya…” (Hindi bollywood) song during the event who won everyone’s heart with her cute expressions. “Amhi Mahrashtian aahe Aamhi Marathi bolnar ! ” was the line when Siddesh interacted with the audience on stage and finally most awaited part of the programme was his performance when he started dancing on the moves of his favourite dancer “Govinda – Chichi Bhayya’s songs like “Kisi Disco me jaye..” Prem chaal me phas gayi tut toh”..and so on with the event host Corena Pereira and MJ Denny and all the dancers and his fans joined him on the stage and enjoyed the event. D1 Group bagged first prize while Alchemi group was the runnerup. Fabklub Nagpur was the promotional and social media partner for this event. Dr. Shekhar Bhole, MGI – CEO, Dr. Shiney Chib, Director, DMIMS and all the teaching and non-teaching staff were present during the programme.DMIMS Faculty staff Dr. Vinod Waiker, Dr. Rucha Lohi, Dr. Pallavi and the students of MBA Final year Sagar, Rohini Shendre, Anjusha, Neeraj took alot of efforts and worked hard for the success of the event.
